Attorney Ken Gogel returned over sixteen million dollars to consumers in a national class action law suit against Morgan Stanley that challenged the collection of money from consumers who had filed bankruptcy cases. Ken ended an industry practice of collecting money from consumers on unsecured claims discharged in bankruptcy by resolving several national class action cases in which he was lead counsel against major credit card banks in lawsuits resolved in Boston and Chicago. Ken was successful in ending the use by insurance companies of a computerized database of medical charge data to reduce medical provider reimbursement claims when he settled a national class action law suit pending in federal court in Philadelphia in which he was lead counsel.

In his community, Ken organized and serves on the Board of Directors of ExtraSpecialTeas, Inc. a nonprofit teashop in Great Barrington that provides supported employment for adults with disabilities.  He also serves on the Civil Rights Committee of a Great Barrington nonprofit that operates Life Sharing Homes in the Berkshires.
